Safe, Attractive and Liveable Communities – Fair Investment for Rushen
The quality of daily life in Rushen, Port Erin, and Port St Mary matters. People want safe streets, usable pavements, decent facilities, and public spaces that are well looked after.
One clear difference I have noticed is the level of investment in the community. Castletown has seen significant recent improvements, including the new square development. Rushen has had far less spent on it overall. That needs to change. More needs to be done to support and strengthen our local communities.
• Improving road safety, pavements, and access for people of all ages and abilities.
• Better healthcare access – residents in Rushen deserve prompt access to GPs and dentists.
• Better facilities, activities and support for community groups, youth opportunities and everyday services that help our villages thrive.
• Cleaner, well-maintained public spaces and play areas.
Working with the local commissioners to ensure this is achieved.
